Funds are still available for the New York State Department of Health Infertility Demonstration Grant to cost share for IVF in patients whose private insurance does not include coverage for an IVF cycle.
Dr. Kenigsberg and Dr. Brenner have published a paper describing a successful new IVF protocol using a low dose of Ovidrel.
The study showed a very high implantation rate and an unusually large number of extra embryos were available for cryopreservation. The drug protocol also had the advantage of requiring less total doses of medication.
